The Master of Science in Law (MSL) program is designed for learners who seek an understanding of the law and the American legal system but who do not intend to practice law. Learners in the MSL program are required to earn 36 semester credits, all of which must be completed through California Southern University. The MSL program curriculum covers the major substantive areas of U.S. law. Learners enrolled in the MSL program will NOT satisfy the requirements of the California Committee of Bar Examiners or become eligible to sit for the California bar exam and become lawyers.
The California Committee of Bar Examiners requires the CalSouthern to refer all prospective students and applicants to the required disclosures. Please click here to review the required disclosure.
The study of law has always attracted individuals of great ability. Few professions demand as much in the development of one's intellectual powers and self-discipline as law. A primary purpose of the Juris Doctor (JD) degree is to provide the education and professional training for those who wish to become lawyers.
The School of Law is registered by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. This allows graduates of our JD program who have complied with the Rules Regulating Admission to Practice Law in California to sit for the California Bar Exam.
The California Committee of Bar Examiners requires the CalSouthern School of Law to refer all prospective students, applicants, and current J.D. students to Required Disclosures. Please click here to review the required disclosures.
