Personal Therapy Requirement (for Graduate Students only)

Participation in individual, family or group counseling can be beneficial to the graduate psychology student on many levels. It can be a growth experience as well as significant educational experience. Therefore, the psychology faculty at California Southern University (CalSouthern) believes that personal therapy is an important requirement of the graduate program. This requirement is met by the graduate student participating in individual, family or group therapy conducted by a licensed marriage, family and child therapist, licensed clinical psychologist or a board-eligible psychiatrist. Therapy received in the past may meet this requirement. This requirement is for graduate students only.
