The Army tuition assistance (TA) program may cover up to 100 percent of your tuition costs, not exceeding $250 per semester credit, or $4500 per fiscal year.

Army Education Benefits and the Post 9/11 GI Bill
California Southern University is an approved provider of military-funded Army tuition assistance programs designed to help you with your school tuition. From the Montgomery GI Bill to the Post 9/11 GI Bill and Veterans assisted programs, we are here to help you utilize these funds you’ve worked so hard to earn.
Not only does the Post 9/11 GI Bill give you funding to go back to school, it also can provide you with a generous living allowance. To use your available Army education benefits online, you can apply below or mail in your application. Follow the steps below to get started:
Step 1: Go to http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp and apply as a new VONAPP user. You may also mail in your application. Complete the VA form 22-1990 http://www.vba.va.gov/pubs/forms/22-1990.pdf and mail to the below address:

Have you used any of your Army education benefits through your GI Bill? If so, you need to complete VA form 22-1195 http://www.vba.va.gov/pubs/forms/vba-22-1995-are.pdf and request a “Change of Program or Place of Training” form and submit to the VA Regional Office in Muskogee, OK.
Step 2: The VA will send you a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) approval. You will then need to submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility and your signed VA form 22-1995 to CalSouthern University.
Step 3: Once CalSouthern University has finalized your paperwork, you will be contacted by your Learner Services Liaison and provided a new Learner orientation. Upon completion of your new Learner orientation and once your courses have been approved by your Academic Advisor, you will begin your first course. Courses start on the first day of each month.

The Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency and is a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The Accrediting commission of the DETC is a recognized member of the Council for higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CHEA is a private nonprofit national organization that coordinates accreditation activity in the United States.
