ENG 1200 - American Literature
This course covers selected works in American literature from the 1880’s to the Present. Emphasis is placed on the historical, cultural, and literary analysis of selected prose, poetry, and drama. The aim of this course is to give the student an overview of American writers, literature, and literary trends. Upon completion, students should be able to interpret, analyze, and respond to literary works within their historical and cultural context.
