This course covers the process and principles of academic writing at the graduate level. In terms of the writing process, emphasis is placed on critical reading, proper attribution of sources to avoid plagiarism, and developing proper writing techniques. In addition, the course focuses on obtaining research skills while becoming familiar with the University Library resources and the University Writing Center. This course also provides guidance on developing strong organizational skills and managing your research literature review. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grade only.
