The MA in Psychology and State Licensure

CalSouthern’s Master of Arts in Psychology (MA) meets the educational requirements for licensure as a marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor set forth by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Because CalSouthern is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission, its MA is recognized by the licensing bodies of numerous other states across the country, as well.

The chart below provides additional information regarding the CalSouthern MA and state licensure. However, please be aware that each states’ policies and requirements vary greatly and are subject to change and/or dependent upon the circumstances of each case. It is each student’s responsibility to confirm with the appropriate regulatory body that CalSouthern’s MA will be accepted in a particular state.
