PSY 86505 Theories of Human Development and Functioning

Credits : 3

This fundamental course covers the maturational and behavioral forces that affect an individual throughout various phases of life. It includes content on individual and family development across the lifespan. Specific emphasis will be given to developmentally appropriate stages and atypical transitions related to common concerns in therapy. Specific foundational theories will be explored in relationship to their effect on the therapeutic relationship.
