PSY 86508 Cross Cultural Mores and Values

Credits : 3

This course explores cross-cultural mores and values with an emphasis on problems and solutions. The focus of study aims to heighten awareness, compassion, and understanding of psychological and therapeutic issues arising across a wide range of racial and ethnic backgrounds, including, but not limited, to African Americans, Hispanics, Asians and Native Americans. This course guides Learners to focus on their culture of origin to increase awareness of their own heritage and to increase their appreciation of the impact of culture upon individuals.
