CalSouthern’s faculty mentors are talented, highly credentialed educators who are also experienced practitioners in the subject areas in which they teach—and they use that practical experience to help learners apply the concepts they learn to current, real-world issues.

A common misconception about online learning is that it is impersonal, that learners are on their own. At CalSouthern, that could not be further from the truth. Faculty mentors get to know their students and provide one-on-one, personalized feedback on their assignments. Laura Clevenger, PhD

Dr. Clevenger is president and owner of Family Resources, Inc., a private practice in Tallahassee, FL. She has owned the practice since 2010 and works with individuals, couples and families with a wide range of mental health issues.

Dr. Clevenger practices yoga, enjoys belly dancing, meditates and attends a local Buddhist center. She is very passionate about nutrition and its effects on the body, both physical and mental.

Dr. Clevenger is married with one son, two stepchildren and a pet ball python named Maleficent.
