CalSouthern’s faculty mentors are talented, highly credentialed educators who are also experienced practitioners in the subject areas in which they teach—and they use that practical experience to help learners apply the concepts they learn to current, real-world issues.

A common misconception about online learning is that it is impersonal, that learners are on their own. At CalSouthern, that could not be further from the truth. Faculty mentors get to know their students and provide one-on-one, personalized feedback on their assignments. Katherine Pawlak, JD

Katherine Pawlak is a practicing attorney and partner in her law firm. Her practice focuses on employment law, corporate law, and civil litigation in both state and federal courts.

In addition, she serves as a student advisor for Themis Bar Review, preparing students to sit for the Ohio Bar Examination. She also is a Professor for undergraduate and graduate students at Rasmussen College and American Public University, teaching in the areas of Employment Law, Corporate Law, Legal Ethics, and Civil Litigation.

Katherine is an avid reader and Michigan State sports fan. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and trying new cuisines. Katherine is an animal lover, and has a Puggle named Bentley and a Boxer named Layla.
