International Applicants

International Application Checklist

Welcome, F1/I-20 International Students!

California Southern University welcomes international students from around the world who are seeking an outstanding American education. You can earn an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree from the comfort of your own home country or come to California on an F1 Visa to complete your degree on campus!

Please note that at this time, California Southern University will only accept F1/I-20 Applicants for programs under The School of Business. Public announcements will be made as we begin to offer other programs for F1/I-20 Applicants in the trimesters to come.

Learners whose primary language is not English must have a sufficient command of the English language to benefit from instruction at this university. Coursework is offered in English through English textbooks and through consultation and critique by English speaking Faculty Mentors. Therefore, learners must be able to communicate effectively in English to complete courses. Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not earned a degree from an appropriately accredited institution where English is the principal language of instruction must provide evidence of English proficiency.

Here’s how the CalSouthern enrollment process works, in 10 steps for International F1/I-20 Learners:

Complete Your Enrollment Application

The online form is intuitive and easy to use. You can provide the requested information in a matter of minutes.

Submit Your Transcripts & Required Documents

Request your academic transcripts from your previous schools. They should be submitted directly to CalSouthern Registrar’s Office—or use our convenient e-transcript service. Graduate program applicants should submit transcripts of their undergraduate degree program and any additional college courses completed. Undergraduate program applicants must submit their high school transcripts (or complete and sign an attestation from confirming your high school graduation) and transcripts of any completed collegiate courses.

All documents must be translated in English and notarized. To be accepted by CalSouthern, foreign transcripts must be from schools recognized by the Ministry of Education or equivalent governmental agency, or listed in the International Handbook of Universities, or evaluated by a recognized foreign credential evaluation service through NACES.
