Eric Muenks, PhD
School of Behavioral Sciences
I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 30 years of professional experience ranging from children’s mental health, healthcare quality improvement, and teaching. I have consulted with Florida school districts to offer education and mediation associated with LGBT youth issues. I am certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and have led numerous mindfulness workshops and meditation classes for professional clients and other human services professionals. Prior to working at CalSouthern, I taught for the University of the Rockies, The Ashford College of Doctoral Studies, Colorado State University, Southern New Hampshire University, Rasmussen College and the University of Phoenix. I have a particular affinity for systematic literature review-based doctoral projects and enjoy serving as Chair or committee member on doctoral committees.
I live in Orlando, Florida with my husband and enjoy gardening, cooking, beer and wine tasting, and travel. I love learning about plants and gardening and enjoy growing my own organic fruits, vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. I provide care for my parents who reside in a nursing facility in Orlando. My husband spends a great deal of time in San Diego because of his job, and we have a small place there I often visit throughout the year.
