The faculty mentors in CalSouthern’s School of Behavioral Sciences are skilled and experienced clinicians as well as dedicated, responsive and highly credentialed educators.

They will be there for you—via phone, email or Skype—to answer any questions you may have and to help you master the course material. And, equally important, they will help you take the concepts you learn and apply them to resolve challenges commonly faced in clinical practice today.

Lori Aleknavicius, PsyD

Areas of Interest and Expertise
Eating disorders, evidence-based therapeutic strategies for use with children, solution-focused therapy techniques

Dr. Lori Aleknavicius has a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Argosy University in Orange, California. She is licensed in California and Minnesota and has private practices in both states alongside her husband, Dr. Patrick Aleknavicius. Her private practice work focuses on children, families, and couples work. In addition to her private practice, she enjoys teaching psychology courses and giving talks to various community organizations about positive mental health.

Her home life is full of laughter and play with her husband and three young children. They enjoy going to new parks all over Southern California, bike riding, taking care of their pets, traveling whenever they can and, in her spare time, she sneaks in personal exercise and yoga for self-care.
