School of Behavioral Sciences Faculty
The faculty mentors in CalSouthern’s School of Behavioral Sciences are skilled and experienced clinicians as well as dedicated, responsive and highly credentialed educators.
They will be there for you—via phone, email or Skype—to answer any questions you may have and to help you master the course material. And, equally important, they will help you take the concepts you learn and apply them to resolve challenges commonly faced in clinical practice today.

Kate Andrews, PhD
Areas of Interest and Expertise
After receiving her MA in Psychology, Dr. Andrews began working with pregnant addicts providing a complete life program. She transitioned to life coaching executives, teams, and individual employees. She developed numerous traditional (classroom) and online courses for leadership and conducted training in every-day life situations including parenting and communication strategies for employees.
Her experience in the United States at the university level as an educator includes providing guidance in statistics and research, psychology courses in family systems, drug addiction, counseling, communication, motivation, and leadership. In Romania, she developed and taught a course entitled “Faith-based Psychology and Counseling” for a Romanian Bible college.
Dr. Andrews is the Editor of two European and one American journal; Published peer-reviewed research articles; Director of humanitarian organization in Romania; Presented at APA, WASC WCET, and European conferences; Previous chairperson of California Psychological Association, Division 3.
Dr. Andrews spent 2 years in Israel working for the government there and lived in Romania for 8 years working with teenage orphans and elderly Roma people through a non-profit organization she currently directs. In addition to mentoring, she currently provides works with heroin addicts towards recovery and finds time for her three grandchildren.
