CalSouthern Welcomes Transfer Credits

Have you completed courses at other universities, community colleges or vocational schools without completing your degree? At CalSouthern, we understand responsibilities and obligations can sidetrack your education – and we welcome your eligible transfer credits.

CalSouthern can get you back on track. Our Evaluations team is here for you, and we’ll work hard to allocate and assign eligible transfer credits to your degree program.

Transfer credit is evaluated on an individual basis. Not all credits are eligible to transfer. See the University Catalog for transfer credit policies.

Transfer Credit Guidelines

Evaluation of Official Transcripts

Official transcripts must be sent directly to the CalSouthern Office of the Registrar from your previously attended institutions.

Accepting Transfer Credits

CalSouthern will evaluate the appropriateness and applicability of credit earned at other accredited or approved institutions. Coursework eligible for transfer must be relevant to the program, equal in unit value, and successfully completed with a “C” or better for undergraduate programs or a “B” or better for graduate programs.*

*Appropriately accredited postsecondary institutions are defined as those accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, or by an accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or, for non-United States institutions, an educational institution approved by an equivalent authority.

California Southern University welcomes all adult Learners and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or in any other way in any of its policies, practices, or procedures involving applicants, learners, Faculty Mentors, staff, and the public. California Southern University reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone the University believes does not meet its academic standards.
