Dr. Angela German, Ph.D.

Dr. Angela German is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Clinical Director of Thrive Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Support Services. She is an accomplished clinician, educator, and administrator with extensive experience in behavioral health leadership, clinical supervision, and higher education. Dr. German has served in multiple academic roles, including core faculty and clinical supervisor in graduate and doctoral Marriage and Family Therapy programs, where she provides instruction in ethics, trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, psychopharmacology, and systemic clinical practice.
Dr. German is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Substance Abuse professional, Qualified Supervisor, Certified Trauma Professional, National AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and certified grief professional, and maintains an active clinical community mental health center serving individuals, couples, families, and underserved populations impacted by trauma, addiction, and systemic barriers to care. Her professional background includes community mental health, private practice, nonprofit leadership, and clinical program development. She is deeply committed to culturally responsive care, ethical practice, and advancing equity within the mental health profession.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Dr. German provides supervision, consultation, and organizational leadership with a focus on sustainable practice, professional identity development, and clinician well-being.
