California Southern University is proud to announce this year’s keynote address will be delivered by CalSouthern PsyD graduate, Dr. Alison Curdt, a PGA Master Professional in Instruction and an LPGA Professional Class A Golfer.
Dr. Curdt is the youngest female PGA Member to achieve PGA Master Professional status and is one of 11 women to achieve the highest PGA credential earned by an instructor. She successfully completed her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology at CalSouthern in early 2018 and received a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine in 2013.
Dr. Curdt is now a psychotherapist with her own private practice in Woodland Hills, California, Curdt Performance Therapy, where she works with adolescents, couples, families, and individuals. She also teaches at Wood Ranch Golf Club in the Los Angeles area and is also a consultant to the Women’s Golf Team California State University Northridge. She strives to develop and coach golfers in all areas of their lives.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Curdt continues to play golf competitively. She has played in the LPGA Wegman’s Tour Championships in 2012 and 2014 and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in 2015 and 2017. She has competed at five majors—including recently at the 2018 KPMG PGA Women’s Championship in Olympia Fields, IL. She was the first woman from Southern California to qualify for the PGA National Championship, which was held in the fall.
