The Accreditation Council of Business
Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has informed California Southern University that the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree programs are now ACBSP accredited.
ACBSP is internationally recognized as a leading specialized accreditation association for business programs, with more than 1,200 member campuses. It was the first business program accreditor to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and, later, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
This is another indicator of the quality of our programs and a pivotal event in the university’s history. “The accreditation of CalSouthern’s business programs by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a very important step for the University and is just another indicator of the quality of the degree programs it offers,” says Dr. Gregory Herbert, Dean, School of Business. “ACBSP is a leading accreditor for business programs and the process to achieve this milestone was extremely rigorous and involved faculty, staff, alumni, and current Learners over a period of years. ACBSP accreditation signifies that the education received by our business Learners is of the highest quality and will provide significant benefits as they complete their programs of study and take their degrees out into the business world.”
The achievement of this programmatic accreditation is a momentous occasion and the result of years of tireless effort on the part of the school of business’s dedicated staff and faculty. Since the university was founded by Dr. Donald Hecht in 1978, the primary focus has always been to do what is best for our students.
