Our expert academic staff from the School of Business and Management, led by Dean Jim Rieger, EdD, has been hard at work further developing the School’s robust programs and expanding offerings to meet the needs of the ever-changing business landscape. We are proud to present the following announcements from the School of Business and Management.
Great Business Schools Recognition for CalSouthern’s DBA Program
Great Business Schools, a free online resource for new students, has ranked CalSouthern among the 10 most affordable online Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs for 2021. This ranking was determined based on Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) cost data. However, Great Business Schools editors didn’t just look at the expense of a program, they chose to only feature accredited, reputable institutions. It is a huge honor to have been selected out of the many DBA programs available globally, and this recognition serves as a testament to the quality of our curriculum.
CalSouthern’s Doctor of Business Administration degree is designed to transform executives into strong leaders. Learners develop robust writing and research skills as well as gain advanced decision-making techniques to utilize as they move into the highest levels of management. The program prepares learners to succeed in today’s dynamic, ever-changing business environment. They become adept at dealing with change management, while also developing strategic management and leadership skills.
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Confirms Program Alignment for CalSouthern’s BBA and MBA Programs
The School of Business and Management is proud to announce that its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in Human Resource Management and its Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Human Resource Management are aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates.
The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed by SHRM to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The guidelines are part of SHRM’s Academic Initiative to define HR education standards taught in university business schools and help universities develop programs that follow these standards.
More than 400 programs in approximately 375 educational institutions have been acknowledged throughout the world by SHRM as being in alignment with its suggested guides and templates. For CalSouthern learners, this means that your educational program remains robust and career-relevant.
